π Canon Camera Flash Not Working
12-17-2022 11:50 AM. My older speedlites 430EX III-RT, 470EX-AI & 600EX II-RT are all compatible and fit the multi-function hot shoe of the R6 Mark II and work just fine. But the 600EX II-RT requires the AD-E1 adapter because the speedlite has weather sealing. The OP may need this adapter if the speedlite doesn't fit correctly.
If it reports that external flash is attached then what that means is that the sensor in the hot shoe is likely stuck. The shot shoe has two "rails" that hold an external flash and each rail has a "leaf spring". Use a toothpick (or something that wont scratch the camera) and *carefully* lift the springs.
